I am a recent naturalized citizen and for the first time this election, I had the privilege to vote in the presidential elections and afterwards monitoring the results and o boy I was shocked.

In the greatest democracy on earth CBS was able to determine, even theoretically before the count, which states were going to either one of the two candidates, they were able to determine, which are blue and which red states are. Only nine states were the real players in that election, what a shame!

I just don’t understand how can someone vote for a party regardless of the candidate and his ability to perform the job he is running for?

I just don’t understand how can we Americans toss our rights to really choose the president, like people did and vote for their party?

I just don’t understand how the majority of us let only nine of our fifty states, decide which direction this country will be heading to?

People all over the world look at us and learning from our democracy, and we through all of that away by blindly voting for a party?

What a shame!
