The Virgin Mary, was Aron, and Moses sister!

Isn't it silly, this is one of the serious historical errors in the Qur'an. When he heard Jews stories about their religion, Muhammad confused Mary, the real sister of Moses, and Aron, with the Virgin Mary, the mother of Jesus.

Here is a link to the discussion which was between me, and one of the most powerful, and active Muslims, defending Islam her on the vine.

At the end, we will see, that he ignored the discussion, when he reached a dead end, and could no longer defend this point.

You are attempting to make an argument about a questionable historical fact and reference a previous thread that you expect us to revisit/read. What is silly is your premise.

Perhaps I'll write an article (using the term loosely) about a misleading fact and reference a six week old thread in an effort to bring a dead horse to life.

There is no proof that either the history or words in the bible or the Qu'ran are based in fact, are the words of a 'god', that through time the words and stories have not changed, been re-interpreted, misinterpreted, redacted, added to or otherwise changed. It is the word of man spoken and repeated as the gospel. Comparing 'texts' is an exercise in futility.

If it was a matter of any importance to you, you would explain your weak argument and point instead of making a statement and referring to an old thread. Apparently you haven't anything else to bolster your contention.

Labeling this article as an Event is pretty funny though.

66:12

19:28

"O sister of Aaron!^[2460] Thy father was not a man of evil, nor thy mother a woman unchaste!"

Sura 3

35. Behold! a woman of ‘Imrān^[354] said: "O my Lord! I do dedicate unto Thee what is in my womb for Thy special service^[355]: So accept this of me: For Thou hearest and knowest all things."

36. When she was delivered, she said: "O my Lord! Behold! I am delivered of a female child!"- and God knew best what she brought forth^[356] - "And no wise is the male Like the female^[357]. I have named her Mary, and I commend her and her offspring to Thy protection from the Evil One, the Rejected."

37. Right graciously did her Lord accept her: He made her grow in purity and beauty: To the care of Zakariya was she assigned. Every time that he entered (Her) chamber to see her, He found her supplied with sustenance. He said: "O Mary! Whence (comes) this to you?" She said: "From God. for God Provides sustenance to whom He pleases without measure^[358]."

Why? Don't other Viners focus on defending Islam without defending Christianity and Buddhism and every other religion? It is difficult to know all things, although I imagine some would disagree, so focusing on one subject is perfectly acceptable. What I object to is the constant derailing of topics with the "What about..." argument.

Sally.......This article is very informative. I've read articles that the Trolls take out of context. For those who feel offended!!!!!!!!....no explaination will suffice=meaning not everyone agrees nor believes the same. And Goes I don't assume or take anything for granted. I'm not here to criticize. In todays world my opinion....there's the non- believers & the believers. Too much self human pride, meaning, me me me me me world and what have you done to help a person that is in dire straights ? I happen to believe in The Virgin Mary. Please be careful when categorizing in the future ? When other viners have articles about any religion or their personal life and get slammed by Trolls. I have to kindly disagree !!!

Apparently, your're a newb. Marsha Christ *appeared* on NV over a year ago, I think, and posted one of the wildest articles I have ever encountered here. She didn't claim she was Mary, she claimed she was the sister of Jesus Christ. If it wasn't so bizarre at the time it would have been funny.

This article is funny and reminds me that Marsha's is still #1 insofar as religious nuttery is concerned. *hmmmm...I invented a new word....*
